Privacy policy

GarageIQ (“we”) helps UAE drivers find and evaluate car garages. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices, in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, “PDPL”).

What we collect

Account data — email address (sign-in via one-time code or Google), managed through secure session cookies. Usage data — search queries you type or speak (processed to match you with services; voice is transcribed on your device by your browser, we never receive audio), garages you view, save or compare. Vehicle data — make, model, year, mileage and Mulkiya expiry if you add them. Contact events — when you tap Call, WhatsApp or Get Quote we log that a contact happened, the garage, and any quoted price you choose to share. Reviews — text and photos you submit, shown publicly after moderation. Analytics — anonymous, cookie-free page and event counts.

Your WhatsApp number

We share your WhatsApp number with a garage only when you explicitly consent in the quote flow, and only with the specific garages you message. We never sell contact details.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal data. We don't let garages pay for ranking. We don't track you across other websites.

Storage & retention

Data is stored with our cloud database provider with row-level security enabled. You can use most of the product without an account; guest data (saved garages, vehicle) then lives only in your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time.

Your rights

Under the PDPL you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent. Email taaqib04@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
